Version 5.1 of Genshin Impact is set to go live on October 9th, But before that HoYoverse will be hosting a special livestream program for version 5.1 on Friday, September 27th. In this article, I’ll cover everything you need to know about the upcoming special program, including the 5.1 banners, weapon details, Primogem rewards, events, redeem codes, and more.
Redeem Codes
During the livestream, the developers will release three exclusive redeem codes worth a total of 300 Primogems and other in-game resources. Keep in mind that these codes will expire within 16 hours, so make sure to redeem them quickly! If you miss the livestream, don’t worry—I’ll be posting the codes on my site. Version 5.1 Banners
The 5.1 banners are looking exciting! Here’s what you can expect:
Characters Banners:
Phase 1 (October 9, 2024):
- Xilonen (5-star Geo)
- Chiori (5-star Geo)
Phase 2 (October 29, 2024):
- Nahida (5-star Dendro)
- Hu Tao (5-star Pyro)
Weapon Banners:
Phase 1 (October 9, 2024):
- Peak Patrol Song (5-star Sword)
- Uraku Misugiri (5-star Sword)
Phase 2 (October 29, 2024):
- A Thousand Floating Dreams (5-star Catalyst)
- Staff of Homa (5-star Polearm)
Make sure to keep an eye out for these banners, as they feature some highly anticipated characters and weapons!
Events in Version 5.1
The main event for version 5.1 is called Chromatic Ode of Candies and Roses, which will take place in Sumeru, alongside the Subzero Festival. This event will reward players with 1,000 Primogems, a free 4-star character (Candace), a Crown of Insight, and other level-up materials.
In addition to the main event, there will be four mini-events:
- Feast of Pursuit
- Reminiscent Regimen
- Aphid Treasure Trace
- Marvelous Merchandise Event (a fan-favorite!)
Total Primogem Count in 5.1
According to data from beta testers, free-to-play players will be able to earn approximately 10,735 Primogems during version 5.1, which is equivalent to 67 wishes. While this number might seem low, keep in mind that no new maps or areas are being added this time. Make sure to save some of those Primogems for future characters!
New Content and Characters
In version 5.1, we’ll get a sneak peek at Natlan’s Archon Quest Acts 3 and 4, as well as Xilonen’s story quest. Additionally, HoYoverse may introduce us to some new characters like Shalen K and Epha. We haven’t seen Xilonen and Oron in the game yet, so there’s plenty to be excited about!

HoYoverse might reveal some new quality-of-life changes during the livestream, so be sure to watch it for all the details.
