In Abiotic Factor, most enemies aren’t too difficult, but the first Peccary you face will make short work of why having a good, fully repaired weapon is key. If you’re ill prepared you could find yourself with a broken chair leg after a couple of swings. Here’s how you can manage to repair your gear and keep it in the best shape!
How to Repair Items in Abiotic Factor
To repair your items, after pressing ‘Tab’ for opening inventory, you right click on the desired item and basically choose ‘Repair with Duct Tape.’ For instance, I have been using a desk leg as a weapon, and it really breaks after a few times.
This option will pop up if you have the Duct Tape in your inventory. If you don’t have any Duct Tape, this will not show up as an option for repair. Not all items can be repaired this way though. Some items need a Repair & Salvage Station, which you’ll have to craft and set up at your base.
Repair & Salvage Station
Well, once you have set up the Repair & Salvage Station, it will be easy to repair your stuff. Just go to your workbench and you’ll be able to repair your broken gear from there. This way is a lot easier and will save your resources in the long run.
Where to Find Duct Tape in Abiotic Factor
Duct Tape is crucial for quick repairs, and you’ll find it scattered all around. It tends to be in toolboxes, lockers, filing cabinets, office desks, and storage closets. Judging from what I’ve been finding so far, storage closets-placing those besides bathrooms-and toolboxes have the most of this tape. You’ll pick up more than enough as you progress through the game to cover all your repair needs. If you happen to pass some up, just remember where you found it!
